      I’m sure we’ve all seen many of these posts where. No one seems to be able to figure out what’s going on. You should check your connection to your monitor. I found this post that solved my problem: https://retropie.org.uk/forum/compose
      After booking up directly to my TV via HDMI, I had no issues with the power off and reboot. I bought new SD cards, a new power supply, but couldn’t get anything to work. It looks like the issue is the pi would have to power the monitor also if it’s not an HDMI connection. Hope this might help someone out. I had been struggling with it for almost a month![link text](~~
